Senior Software Application Developer 
Description

Senior Software Application Developer is responsible for working with a team to develop and support web-based business applications in a LAMP environment. This position requires excellent software and database development skills; must be proficient in MVC. Knowledge of coding patterns, comprehensive understanding of the PHP language and have experience with the available PHP frameworks, especially the CakePHP framework. The candidate must also have knowledge and experience with the various JavaScript libraries as well as traditional JavaScript and be familiar with making AJAX calls. The candidate must also have experience creating and managing MySql databases and knowledge of Apache servers. The candidate should be able and willing to work in a team environment and have a solid work ethic.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all project life cycle activities including analysis, design, software enhancements and/or development, testing and post-implementation support.
  • Design and implement technology solutions using LAMP technologies.
  • Reviews and analyzes available software, and enhancements to recommend any changes to the current system and to ensure that the most cost effective and efficient applications are being utilized.
  • Tests new and revised programs to ensure proper functionality and to ensure output is complete, accurate and in conformance with program specifications and user requirements.
  • Provides production support for Apache Webservers, and MySql Databases
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in a position with similar skills
  • Knowledge of PHP Programming, JavaScript & Ajax
  • Experience with MySql Programming
  • Knowledge of Apache
  • Knowledge of the HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of SDLC

Education:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field preferred

  • Full Time
  • Monday-Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM
