The Systems Administrator plays a key role in the overall functioning of the organization by providing quality technical support with a high degree of customer service, working in a Microsoft/Linux environment for network, server, and workstations, hardware, peripherals and software.
Oversee the local Service\Help desk, Coordinating the effective tracking and resolution of end users' issues and requests.
Provide support to customer and internal systems, including troubleshooting, escalations, alerts from monitoring, monitoring the close out and resolution of issues, and documenting the resolution.
Technical Support, Troubleshoot, research and resolve hardware, software and networking issues to maintain maximum 'uptime' for network connected resources including workstations, servers, telephone system and other attached devices.
Provide second level support to IT team members for technology and software.
Oversee testing of new software and hardware for compatibility purposes.
Plan and Install updates, patches and upgrades to all network systems.
Server and Network Administration and support
Works with Senior Systems Architect Monitoring the daily performance of operation environment/applications using established tools and procedures
System administration including: monitoring, troubleshooting, user management, resource management, install and/or upgrade new applications and operating systems and optimize system configuration
System and Network Security including: monitoring, SPAM, Malware and intrusion prevention
Server and Network Administration and support of Windows and Linux environment
Develop and maintain technical documentation
Telecom - VOIP, User Administration, Configuration
Management of all network attached information systems.
Active Directory Administration - Commissioning/Decommissioning of user accounts, Group Policy Objects, Print Server Management, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Powershell scripting
Create detailed documentation on configuration, deployment, and resolutions of issues.
Ongoing communication with staff and prompt response to inquiries, resolution or progress to their request, problem
The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times
