POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Sales will maintain and grow product sales through all channels and accounts and seek new accounts that will contribute to growth plans. This role will cover the east region/territory for the BAK sales team.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and execute business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of corporate sales goals and profitability.
  • Achieve targeted sales goals for all sales channels and brands including, but not limited to aftermarket warehouse distributers, dealer sales, Internet/E-Commerce.
  • Maintain all customer programs, policies, pricing, and promotional activities throughout all sales channels.
  • Forecast, in collaboration with the National Sales Manager, in the annual budgeting process including projected monthly sales.
  • Attend to customer expectations in order to maintain their satisfaction.
  • Develop new customer relationships and grow sales, while servicing and cultivating existing accounts.
  • Responsible for executing all new product launches throughout customer base.
  • Develop and maintain trade show schedule to ensure proper staffing and proper presentation.
  • Manage territory sales team and support employees in collaboration with the National Sales Manager.
  • Develop and refine regional salespeople consisting of sales, budgeting, and customer relationships.
  • Log all jobber / WD calls in company CRM software within 5 business days.
  • Maintain dealer contact info (names, e-mail, phone, address, website, etc.) in company CRM software for use in our direct mailing, e-blasts, connection to our dealer locator, etc.
  • Maintain your planned activities on the shared calendar 30 days in advance (due by the end of the prior month) and keep the National Sales Manager informed of travel plans when changes occur.
  • Seek new accounts that will contribute to growth plan and mix well with the existing distribution.
  • Be aware of market conditions at all times – WD and retail pricing, competitive actions, opportunities, and threats and bring to the attention of the sales team, as applicable.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in a business related field; OR
  • Four or more years of sales experience
  • Software experience: Microsoft Office Suite, CRM Software, ERP Software
  • Project a professional and positive company image through phone and personal interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at the same time with limited supervision; excellent planning, time management and decision-making skills.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong motivation, level disposition, work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Excellent work history, attendance, initiative, and drive to succeed.
  • Maintain excellent communication and relationships with others; be a team player; maintain a positive attitude.
  • Occasional lifting of 25 pounds or more.

TRAVEL

  • Required to travel roughly 75%.
