JOB SUMMARY: (Hybrid)

The Finance Manager works collaboratively with the Chief Finance Officer in the development of organization-wide budget and quarterly forecasts with YWCA program leaders. This position will periodically analyze the performance and operational risk of all YWCA program areas and support program and organizational development with grant budgets. The Finance Manager will work strategically in support of program managers to make data driven decisions as well as funding outcome-based decisions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead and coordinate annual budget preparation; planning, training and support to all departments.
  • Manage and lead all functionality of the Budget application - readiness for upcoming fiscal year budget cycle including all department payroll templates.
  • Maintain & synchronize actuals/budget data between Budget application and Accounting ERP throughout the year.
  • Create quarterly forecast in conjunction with program managers
  • Conduct projection review discussions and analysis with department area leaders. Follow up on observations, issues and trends.
  • Prepare various reports and metrics on program performance to support senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to financial best practices
  • Conduct analysis on new grants based on forecast and feasibility to assist the CFO
  • Provide support to Organization development on grant application data.
  • Assist the CFO with compliance tracking.
  • Assist the CFO with annual insurance renewal and work related to insurance claims.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the CFO. The incumbent will interact with all members of the accounting team, program department leaders, and the organizational advancement team. Critical relationships will include the Accounting Director, the CFO and the Senior Leadership team.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance or relevant field.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting
  • Broad knowledge of all aspect of management accounting, financial accounting and business best practices.
  • Very proficient in the use of MS Office and ability to work with cloud-based applications
  • Good knowledge of Management accounting in decision making
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail oriented, strategic thinker
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse styles, cultures and perspectives

 

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time
