Description

This role understands and follows Lender Business Rules and manages their pipeline, ensuring the lender's Service Level Agreement is not compromised. Our ideal candidate will maneuver through a variety of systems with an understanding of data history and workflows and advise of any unusual circumstances or requirements that could impact the Service Level Agreement. This position will research and process inquiries, tasks and escalated requests.

The Title Operations – Examiner II performs core Title Operation functions and provides support delivering outstanding service to Title & Builder customers. The role conducts online and phone research of real estate information for property tax, bond, and/or HOA issues and obtains public record information to research property taxes in order to report to the customer. The position executes job responsibilities to ensure LERETA/APG’s cost, quality, and productivity goals are being met.

Functional Processing:

  • Checks appraisal and tax data files as necessary
  • Downloads data files via appropriate method
  • Transfers data obtained over phone, fax, e-mail to production and reporting system
  • Enters data received from the tax collectors onto working order and into the database (NexCheck)
  • Analyzes legal descriptions to confirm and validate identity of property
  • Researches and gathers information for tax issues, e.g., delinquent tax lawsuits, delinquent and/or missing tax bills
  • Investigates and reports property value and/or property exemption discrepancies.
  • Keeps up to date on property tax law changes

Communication:

  • Discusses shared learning with team via online office chat groups
  • Responds to customer inquiries on orders, emails, tickets, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Submits online tickets to production and programming for errors, bugs, customer preferences, etc
  • Meets in small teams as needed for open discussions on taxing entity or property location updates

Additional Expectations:

  • Handles more complex orders, including Harris MSA, Other County and completely manual entities. Performs complex multi orders and special district entity collections; Is periodically assigned to “priority customers” who have specific SLA’s;

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Associate’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
