Description

Adventure Summary

The purpose of the position is to work with the Fulfillment Supervisor and Fulfillment Team Leads to ensure that optimal shipping standards are being met on a daily basis. Will serve as a mentor and lead communicator for day-to-day activities in their area of responsibility.

 

What You Will Do

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all wholesale logistical functions including traffic, transportation, and company owned/leased vehicles
  • Meets with Supervisor daily to review workflow requirements, standards, and expectations
  • Maintains up to date knowledge on changes in regulations related to shipping procedures to include: DOT, UPS, USPS, FedEx, SpeeDee, and LTL
  • Conducts formal training or on-the-job training for team members
  • Coordinates shipments of all sizes to customers: door orders, LTL, and SpeeDee/FedEx/UPS/USPS shipping
  • Follows required safety and compliance regulations
  • EDI Invoicing / ASN functions / SPS Commerce functions
  • Practices the RICH Brownells values
  • Gives praise and shows appreciation to others for effective performance, significant achievements and special contributions
  • Guides, encourages, and assists team members in their professional and/or personal development
  • Handles routine employee requests and inquires related to day-to-day tasks
  • Communicates relevant and accurate information about decisions, plans, and activities to team members
  • Identifies time for area cross training
  • Responsible for training new hires up to standard
  • Maintains team member performance profiles to inform the Supervisor of any shortcomings and/or successes throughout the review period
  • Maintains hazardous materials compliance program
  • Ensures company standard operating procedures as well as all applicable domestic and international regulations are followed
  • Maintains compliance with internal control requirements and regulatory requirements

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures team members have the necessary equipment and supplies to accomplish daily tasks efficiently
  • Maintains the work space and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Processes shipping documents
  • Checks Bill of Lading for accuracy
  • Adheres to different shipping preferences of large and key customers
  • Assists management on Special Projects if requested
  • May interact with sales, customer service, fulfillment, and purchasing regarding the efficient movement of materials
  • Communications with management to identify potential cost saving opportunities and sourcing issues.
  • Remains up-to-date on key account special handling requirements
