Description

Job Summary: The Marketing & Communications Manager provides marketing and communications expertise, leveraging best practices in the creation and distribution of content for effective and consistent Brand communications to external and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing and Communications Planning & Execution: Manages ERDMAN’s marketing and communications strategy and navigates complex communication needs identified in the organization’s strategic plan to support the Healthcare and Senior Living vertical growth plans, marketing plan, talent acquisition plan, and various initiatives to be communicated both externally and internally.
  • Brand Awareness Strategy & Tactics: Develops and executes brand awareness content and activities including multi-media campaigns both externally and internally. This includes, but is not limited to corporate communications, public relations, company awards and accreditations, employee recognition, events, speaking engagements, conferences, community service, groundbreaking, grand openings, project milestones, client interviews, vendor interviews, community partner interviews, project milestones, and thought leadership.
  • Consultation: Regularly consults with senior leaders, internal business units, and specialized firms to proactively identify communication needs, develops detailed communication plans and execute against them and ensure the communication advances the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

  • Brand Management: The ability to build, protect, and leverage all elements of the ERDMAN brand (positioning, brand architecture, identity, guidelines, naming, design, tools, etc.) and effectively link branding strategies to drive long-term organizational success.
  • Communcations: The ability to clearly organize and express information and ideas to meet the needs of the organization in an appropriate fashion, with sensitivity to the audience on content and context.
  • Industry Knowledge: The ability to conduct oneself with poise, self-confidence, and professionalism at all time. Having the ability to win support, gain cooperation, and establish credibility with others to directly impact and address their needs and concerns.
  • Influence & Presence: The ability to clearly organize and express information and ideas to meet the needs of the organization in an appropriate fashion, with sensitivity to the audience on content and context.
  • Marketing Execution: The ability to incorporate all market research, segmentation, and value proposition strategies into an actionable marketing plan to create and build awareness, drive sales, and generate demand. Execute the marketing plan to include public relations and communications, content development, digital, search engine optimization, and web, print, media and other marketing executions.
  • Presenting: The ability to prepare and present information and ideas clearly and effectively to stakeholders, utilizing various presentation formats.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, and/or related field, or equivalent experience.

Certifications and/or Licenses: Professional certificate in digital marketing and/or media communications preferred.

Relevant Experience & Training:

  • 5-8 years’ in corporate communications serving in a similar role
  • Demonstrated team leadership with 3-5 years’ experience leading people
  • Experience with establishing and managing relationships with Public Relations and Advertising firms
  • Healthcare experience preferred; architecture, engineering, construction, consulting experience considered
  • Demonstrated super user proficiency with Salesforce; Pardot experience preferred
  • WordPress experience and proficiency
  • Demonstrated proficiency with LinkedIn
  • Twitter, Facebook, and other social and digital media
  • Strong business writing, presentation, and proofreading skills
  • Advanced MS Office, 365, Teams and SharePoint skills with expertise in PowerPoint
  • InDesign or comparable experience or ability to learn
  • Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a professional, creative, open office environment with business casual attire. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and will average 2,300 hours per year. Great flexibility in schedule is both required of you and returned to you due to our many project deadlines.
  • 10% national travel required.
