JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for database administration, data consolidation, data analysis and management reporting. Report development includes the design and development of Business Intelligence systems, individual reports, dashboards and ad-hoc queries. Collaborating with various functional teams at FSNS and our customers to achieve business results is critical.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to design, deploy and update SharePoint intranet and extranet sites, develop, test, and deploy SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Develop SSIS packages and code to transfer data for reporting and integration
  • Work with the user community to ascertain reporting requirements, then develop proper methods for extracting and displaying the data to the user in the form of reports or dashboards
  • Work with others in Information Technology to build the logical database area and provide technical guidance during all phases of the development process
  • Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing new technologies
  • Responsible for proactively tuning the databases to ensure proper operation of all applications
  • Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint experience
  • 3-5 years experience with Microsoft BI Environment (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI)
  • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
  • OLTP and OLAP design experience
  • MS Dynamics Great Plains experience preferred
