Share Email Opening Title CDL Warehouse Specialist  Description Do you enjoy working with and operating different types of vehicles and trailers and excel in transporting products efficiently and safely between locations? Wouldn’t it be even better if you worked in the beer industry? As a CDL Warehouse Specialist, you would be able to balance both a driving and warehouse role, with most of your focus on moving product, and some time spent helping out in the warehouse to load and unload, and help with warehouse organization. Your route will include transporting raw materials and finished goods to multiple facilities in the south NJ and Philadelphia, PA area. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: CDL Driving (65%) Ensure that appropriate and complete documentation is available at time of loading Load the Truck/Trailer vehicle with accurate inventory for assigned orders Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle Perform various pre-trip duties such as: inspecting the truck, trailer, equipment used for daily duties, checking and securing load, and completing all assigned inspection paperwork Maintain vehicle fluids and cleanliness Check vehicle for wear and tear Perform diagnosis and troubleshooting activities on vehicle when needed Clean equipment when finished with daily duties, empty and sweep truck and trailer, ensure daily logs are completed and accurate Assist in loading and unloading at each delivery location Adhere to all state and federal DOT regulations. Warehouse associate (35%) Assist in ensuring proper warehouse organization, including moving beer from one facility to another, organizing the cold box to accommodate packaging operations, receiving and storing raw materials, etc. Follow operational procedures for all warehouse activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current Frequent loading and unloading of material on and off of delivery trucks Conduct site inventory control processes; ensuring compliance with internal SOPs and best practices Assist with product rotation Accurately record data in computer spreadsheet Organize the warehouse to ensure all material and inventory are identified and maintained according to company requirements Perform item and material transfers from multiple locations Maintain safe and clean work environment Operate forklifts, pallet jacks in a safe, responsible and professional manner Possess a good knowledge of our product, including product identification, location, including proper handling and storage methods Completion of special projects as assigned Participate in regular training activities   Position Requirements Qualifications: 21 years of age or older High School Diploma or Equivalent Valid New Jersey CDL (Class A) Driver’s License Clean, safe driving record Commercial driving experience (3+ years) Special Requirements: Energetic, organized and motivated problem solvers Ability to pass all Department of Transportation CDL driver testing and ongoing requirements ( e.g. physical and drug testing) Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to potentially drive a commercial vehicle for 8 or more hours per day Primary environment will be warehouse/distribution setting Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, grasp, handle, push , pull, reach, crouch, kneel, bend, and type and or/write.
