Share Email Opening Title Kids Center Ski Instructor  Description Title / Position: Kids Center Ski Instructor Position type: Seasonal, Full-time or Part-time; Hourly, Non-Exempt Reports to: Snowsports Director, Kids Center Supervisor If you are interested in teaching kids how to ski from an early age and enjoy working with children ages 2½ to 5 yrs old, then the Kids Center Ski Instructor is for you. We are looking for several individuals to assist our Kids Center in taking care of children while teaching them the basics of how to move on skis. Minimum applicant age is 18 yr for Full-time and 14 yr for Part-time. Summary: Primary role is to provide ski instruction to children ages 2½ to 5 years old. Duties and Responsibilities: Boot and suit up children for outside ski instruction Assist children to and from lesson areas Provide good ski instruction to children Accompany children safely back to the Kids Center Remove boots and outer garments for inside breaks Fill out ski report card Other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Qualifications and Competencies: Full-time, minimum of 18 year old Part-time, minimum of 14 years old Must be comfortable working with children No prior instruction experience necessary, although preferred Maintain a caring and sensitive attitude towards guest Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexible in response to changing assignments and working in a fast paced environment Have the mental capacity and awareness to care for the physical, social and psychological needs of 4-6 children for long periods in various conditions Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Punctual and prepared to perform work duties on time Able to lift 20lbs on a frequent basis throughout the day Must maintain personal appearance in accordance with Bromley standards Have reliable transportation Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: This job operates primarily outdoors, on snow, during the winter season. Physical Demands: This is a physically active role requiring several hours of standing and working outdoors; on and off snow. Occasionally indoors using computers and phones as well. Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs over uneven terrain.
