Under general supervision, the Records Adjudicator Specialist-Healthcare provides administrative & customer support services to our Public Records Adjudication Unit.  This job function requires the ability to communicate effectively with external customers and candidates, managing and maintaining internal case work with a specialized focus on Healthcare customers & products.  This position is responsible for enhancing each customer's relationship with First Advantage by assists candidates via email and/or outbound calls to walk them through the consent process related to our background process and specifics related to the abuse registry process to ensure all requirements are met in order to complete a background check.  Strong organizational skills, analysis, high attention to detail, effective time management, solid decision making skills and effective problem solving are all key components of this role. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing reports, monitoring progress of open orders, documenting issues, Following up with various outside departments & key contacts for issue resolution on orders
  • Fulfillment (Processing check requests, Full lifecycle processing of appropriate state forms, Contacting state resources, Online searches, Applying SOP & Adjudication,) of Public Records Products (Abuse Registry, other Database elements)
  • Deliver an extraordinary customer experience in external communications with Candidates and Clients in targeted healthcare vertical (Email & Outbound Phone calls)


Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum: 1 year experience in customer service based role.

Preferred: 1+ years experience in a specialized account management based role

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Must possess a high degree of attention to detail, adaptability and the ability to multi-task along with solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter; proactive in solving problems, self-motivated to achieve individual and organizational goals
  • Adaptable/flexible; able to manage competing demands and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, accept and handle regular interruptions, and manage/meet departmental performance goals

Physical Requirements:
This role is largely a sedentary in nature. The role requires the ability to lift and/or carry equipment and files up to 20 pounds, walk, bend or stand as necessary.

Working Environment :
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, calculators, filing cabinets and fax machines.
