Base Wage $13.00-$14.30 per hour

Summary

The CCAP Support Specialists provide administrative and customer support to the Child Care Resource & Referral Child Care Assistance Program. This includes management of incoming client documents to support determination of eligibility for child care assistance and provider documentation related to payment for services. Support Specialists also provide initial customer service support through front office and phone interactions with the public.

Examples of Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Administrative (60%)

  • Responsible for daily front office opening duties.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing office mail, faxes, and deliveries.
  • Scan and Validate Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) paperwork in the Child Care Management System (CCMS).
  • Enter provider payments into state system.
  • Support office supply inventory management including monitoring inventory, reporting ordering needs, placing supply orders as necessary, and receiving incoming deliveries.
  • Work overtime as needed.

Customer Service (40%)

  • Provide service to customers at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, and directing visitors to appropriate Child Care Resource & Referral services.
  • Provide telephone-based customer service including answering incoming calls, forwarding calls to appropriate staff, and when necessary supporting scheduling of on-site appointments.
  • Receive incoming customer documentation including collection, sorting, stamping, preparation for processing, and filing.
