Medical Assistant 


Job Summary

  • Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of a physician.
  • Provides excellent customer service in all job functions.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts.
  • Administers injections, performs Phlebotomy.
  • Manages patient flow and preps patients and prepares them for providers.
  • Reconciles medication, refills medications and retrieves medical records from hospitals/offices.
  • Maintains inventories, and orders medical supplies and materials.
  • Gives injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests.
  • Schedules appointments, answers phones and routes messages to the appropriate staff.
  • Keeps x-ray, labs and other medical records, performs administrative tasks, and completes insurance forms.
  • Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
  • Faxes, scans and routs documents for processing.



  • Certified Medical Assistant from a college or technical school
  • Minimum education is High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year related experience and/or training as a medical assistant
  • Must have the ability to multitask
  • Must have the adaptability to adhere to new protocols/flexible
  • B-Lingual in Spanish a plus
