Assertive Professionals is in search of a Part-time Technical Recruiter to support staffing at a technical level for government customers across the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Intelligence Community (IC). Responsibilities include:
-Finding, screening, and recruiting qualified candidates using available resources such as:
- Corporate Applicant Tracking System (ATS) MyStaffingPro
- Recruiting and subscription-based websites (ClearanceJobs.com, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Personal and Professional networks via social media sites (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Participating in networking, hiring, industry events in person and/or virtually
-Communicating directly with internal and external stakeholders and candidates in-person, over the phone, digital media platforms, email, text, etc.
-Review and validate candidates professional experience & qualifications, against position requirements
-Applying candidate resumes, open-source tools, and other means to translate over to various required written templates and forms
-Maintaining detailed notes on candidate status and communication using our ATS, ensuring continuity of talent acquisition operations
-Effectively following corporate processes, procedures, and guidance while informing decision makers on any updates or issues
-Maintain a thorough understanding of our culture, benefits, and position information and act as brand ambassador of AP
Expectations include:
- Ability to review and translate professional experience against requirements in various formats
- Access to a dedicated workspace with access to internet and phone that allows for clear external communication and high level of privacy due to sensitive nature of discussions
- Ability to operate or learn IT systems and software (such as Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking System, etc.)
- Effectively work independently and remotely with little supervision
- Prioritize deliverables to meet given deadlines
- Work a flexible schedule (nights & weekends – many candidates are only available during these times) and provide additional surge support, as required
- Complete all required training, including Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) training
Minimum Requirements/Experience to be considered for the position:
- Ability to maintain/obtain TS/SCI Clearance
- Completed and/or enrolled in continued higher education such as MOS/Military Specialty qualification, college/university degree, etc.
- Technical and/or analytical experience within the DoD, DHS, or IC
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) – preferred degrees have a concentration in intelligence, business, political science, or another technical field
- Experience staffing/sourcing candidates within the same industry
To be considered for the next level position in this path, as an Assistant Project Manager (APM), you must have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Interested and willing to get MBA and PMP
Compensation:
Hourly rate is $17.10 an hour for every hour worked to start, not including any bonuses that may be available based on performance. Hourly rate increases with performance and additional responsibilities.
You are eligible to earn an annual compliance bonus of $300 for part-time employees and will receive a monthly cell phone allotment added to your paycheck for $50.
All travel expenses will be covered by the company for any required/requested in-person events, meetings, or training.
