POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION

The Sr. Integration Engineer provides pre- and post-sales technical support to the Global Sales team. The Sr. Integration Engineer works closely with large wholesale and hyperscale customers worldwide on the development, integration, and deployment of all their infrastructure related and end to end requirements across the RagingWire portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates expert understanding of data center design concepts and differentiators (high dense cooling, maintainable fault tolerant power, security redundancy etc.)
  • Participates in customer meetings and assists regularly and assist in telling the RagingWire story.
  • Participates in all aspects of client facing interactions including but not limited to pre-sales tours, infrastructure deployment consultation, design, documentation, and post-deployment operation.
  • Gathers and fully understands all client requirements and specifications.
  • Reviews and incorporates client provided RFP documents.
  • Works with client, vendors, and contractors to provide turn-key solutions at the wholesale level.
  • Assists with client design standards where needed.
  • Interfaces with customers, vendors and requisite internal RagingWire departments regularly and on-going.
  • Provides ongoing project management and design services for infrastructure projects throughout the life of the customer contract.
  • Develops and documents comprehensive scope of work (SOW) documents, bill of material (BOM), milestones, tasks, risks, assumptions, objectives, and dependencies relating to projects.
  • Works with internal and external technical staff to ensure test plans have been completed and deployments undergo the proper Q/A process.
  • Coordinates, places, and tracks equipment orders and shipments to meet project deadlines.
  • Uses Microsoft Project or equivalent tool to document, schedule, track, and report on the various projects.
  • Uses CAD or equivalent tool and Visio to produce customer facing and internal drawings.
  • Deploys contracted services on time, within budget and according to specifications.
  • Recommends appropriate process and procedure revisions as needed to focus on continuous improvement.
  • Uses Salesforce to track revenue milestones.
  • Documents, publishes, and tracks action items, owners, and due dates.
  • Escalates team and client issues to management as appropriate.
  • Trains, coaches, and mentors lower-level Deployment Engineers and Project Managers.
  • Prepares status reports to keep management, clients, and project team informed of project status and related issues.
  • Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
  • Tracks and reports on quality assurance metrics.
  • Adheres to pre-defined departmental objectives and metrics to provide high level of customer service.
  • Supports strategic departmental objectives.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong experience working with large, global, and hyper-scale customer base
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Salesforce
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), MS Visio and CAD
  • Deep knowledge of IT and data center infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Data center infrastructure design standards
  • Knowledge of SSAE 16 and other industry certifications a plus
  • Possess excellent problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in dynamic environment

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in industry or relevant experience in data centers or critical environments.
 
Position Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
  • Extensive walking of data center facilities and areas under construction.
  • Primarily sitting with periodically standing, walking, bending when creating, implementing, and checking on deployment projects.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Data Center environment, which may be under construction for client builds, and subject to loud noises.
  • Typical office environment.
  • Daily usage of a computer and/or workstation keyboards and terminals.
  • Works on site; no telecommuting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Periodic travel to other locations, customer, or vendor sites approximately 30% of the time.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situations at the data center.
  • Responsible to carry a cell phone and provide 24 x 7 support as needed.

Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends.
