What You Would Be Doing

We want people to join our team who share our values of love, excellence, respect, empowerment, and well-being. The Network Systems Administrator works to manage company technology needs, including implementing and maintaining IT systems and networks, workstations, and other infrastructure in multiple sites. Primary duties include solving a variety of server, network, OS, application, and other problems, both remote and onsite. The position demands expert knowledge in Microsoft systems, applications, Azure, Active Directory, and basic networking. Salary range: $65,500 - $70,00 annually

Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot a broad range of endpoint, server, and cloud connectivity problems.
  • Perform hardware and software installations.
  • Assist employees with endpoints, office systems, updates, Microsoft 365, and other issues.
  • Provide IT support over the phone, remotely and onsite.
  • Serves as Tier 2 support resource for support desk., documenting service tickets and final resolutions.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of modern technologies and identify those that may benefit the company.
  • Implement and upgrade company systems and networks.
  • Team player, which requires periodic on-call and weekend support.
  • Use, support remote access, and remote management technologies
  • Analyze and understand business needs and expectations, as well as alternative architectures and trends.
  • Remain current on vendor best practices as it relates to the interlinking of technologies. (Windows,  Azure cloud, SSO, VPN).
  • Provide expertise on system performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintenance patching and latest version installation.
  • Liaise to vendor partners for Tier 3 support issues
  • Analyze and assess the impact and risk of small to medium risk changes on production systems.
  • Install, configure, patch, and maintain appropriate technologies. (e.g., servers, databases, networks, storage, cloud providers).
  • Design and assist small to medium scale disaster recovery tests.
  • Create and review technical system recovery plans.
  • Assist the IT team in performing major upgrades of systems and associated products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of experience in Systems/Network Administration

.Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of LAN and WAN networking
  • Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and DNS.
  • 3+ years advanced troubleshooting of Windows OS and application issues.
  • 1-2 years of experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Cloud administration desirable. Azure preferred.
  • Strong soft skills, including outstanding customer service, ardent team commitment and collaboration as well as a friendly personality.
  • Excellent relationship building and communications skills. Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Ability to install and manage Windows and iOS systems.
  • Net+, A+ and MCSE certifications a plus, or equivalent knowledge required.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory administration and other MS technologies.
  • Broad and thorough experience with IT support required.
  • Ability to operate without close supervision and handle significant time and other pressures

  • On-call availability.
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 pm -- with flexibility in hours to meet the organization's needs. Evening and weekend work are required as job duties demand.

Travel
Travel is regular, but primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected on occasion.
