Easterseals UCP (ESUCP) has an immediate need for a full-time Clinical Assessor. This position works within the Clinical Services Program, from Monday – Friday, from 11 am until 8 pm EST. The Clinical Assessor is primarily community-based, supporting the Community Assessment and Response to Expedite Services (C.A.R.E.S.) project within the Alliance Catchment Area of Wake County and surrounding areas.

  • Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
  • Ability to complete Comprehensive Clinical Assessments to identify behavioral or psychological symptoms or patterns to make treatment recommendations for the individuals being assessed. Assessments are based on client needs and preferences;  and can be performed at a crisis facility, home, office, or via HIPAA compliant teleplatform
  • Assist youth and adults with system navigation and ensure that the youth is quickly linked to the most appropriate level of care and ensures warm hand-off to an identified treatment provider
  • Ability to provide assessment and clinical diagnostic services for persons entering (or re-entering) the human services system, including assessment of strength and support
  • Maintains clinical documentation according to Program and Medicaid standards regarding service provision, assessments, and progress reports
  • Assists the individual to develop a crisis plan identifying social supports; coping skills and contact numbers.
  • Attends and participates in bi-monthly clinical supervision and other training as required
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in a human service-related field from an institution accredited by the USOE or CHEA required.
  • A full or provisional license in the appropriate discipline is required in either LCSW; LPC; LMFT; LCAS; LCSW-A; LPC-A; LMFT-A.
  • Must have at least one year’s full-time, documented experience with the population served.
  • Prior work experience with Medicaid and community-based populations.
  • Prior experience with diagnosing and assessment.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus!
  • Demonstrates high moral and ethical character and be free of any substantiated charges of abuse or neglect on the NC Healthcare Registry and OIG.
  • Maintain valid insurance for personal vehicles utilized for work.
  • Must have a valid, state-appropriate, unrestricted Driver’s License with acceptable MVR.
