Job Title: Maintenance Technician II

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Department: FPG Manufacturing

Classification (exempt or nonexempt): Non-Exempt

Position Summary: Responsible for general machine and building maintenance.

Location: CDF Corporation in Plymouth, MA -

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Routine machine and equipment maintenance and repair
  • Heat Seal department changeovers
  • General building maintenance
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs
  • Changeover and maintenance of blow molder as necessary
  • Completion of all pertinent maintenance paperwork
  • Travel as necessary
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
  • Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: Standing long periods of time, bending, stooping, crawling. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to see, touch, hear, smell.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Areas may be dirty, dusty, hot. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.

  • Annual performance appraisal

Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • 5-10 years minimum experience
  • Superior mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • General maintenance skills
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Electrical background a plus
  • Knowledge of thermoforming processes a plus
  • Proactive
  • Good attitude: ability to work well with others and be a team player
  • Good communication skills
  • Highly resourceful, creative, collaborative, motivated and driven
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced culture
  • Comprehension, reading and writing of the English language
