Cambridge Management is seeking a Paralegal to join our growing team. Our Florida Paralegal will be a key support member of the CMI Corporate Legal Department and will primarily support our East Coast properties. This ideal candidate supports the company in all facets of daily operations at the corporate, regional and property level. This role is crucial in keeping up with litigation, escalating highly sensitive legal matters, maintaining corporate and legal documents, calendaring important deadlines, diligently assisting in the federal and local requirements in eviction procedures, assisting with compliance-related filings and collaborating with outside counsel. In this position, the paralegal will assist with all phases of affordable housing related property management matters. There is a need for a strong background and working knowledge of multi-state statutory procedures. The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver, experience with a high-volume caseload, highly organized, and able to work well without extensive supervision.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Assisting with organization, execution, and preservation of company Florida legal records
  • Assist in litigation discovery and case management
  • Assistance with regulatory compliance and reporting obligations
  • Drafting legal contracts, correspondence, and other documents as necessary
  • Collaboration within the legal department, across business divisions and with outside counsel
  • Assistance with corporate compliance, regulatory matters, insurance litigation and evictions
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-4 years paralegal experience
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively and seamlessly during normal business hours
  • Ability to be a team player who is willing to pitch in as needed to support the company, including by performing administrative and clerical tasks as may be needed from time to time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Zoom)
  • Ability to learn file management software programs
  • Must be able to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively and efficiently in writing and verbally
  • Candidates must have proven track record of organization skills, possess excellent typing skills, possess a keen eye for detail, and have the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a team environment
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality of all records, files and client information
