Share Email Opening Title Aviation/Maritime Data Communications and Operations Consultant – NASO  Req Number OPE-21-00003   Requisition Category   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Washington, DC   Description The Aviation/Maritime Data Communications and Operations Consultant – NASO will provide expertise in data communications to and from aircraft, boats, and remote sensors in support of the Operations Directorate. Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Provide direct input to AMO programs, including Mobile Command Center and Aircraft Video Downlink system. Assist with subject matter expertise in the distribution of information over networks, and user web applications. Assist with technical and programmatic experts in defining functional and system requirements. Assist in developing operational and support concepts. Assist in acquisition, project planning, and coordination of fulfillment projects to deliver these information capabilities. Assist in verification of delivered projects against requirements and in post-acquisition monitoring support. Reviews and assesses existing AVDL managerial policies, develops alternative procedures, organizations, and policies, and examines alternate applications and adaptations of existing or developing AVDL technologies. Assists with site visits/audits to help ensure compliance with applicable procedures, policies and regulations and provide valuable input that will increase productivity, standardization, and operational readiness. Provides direct input to AMO Operations on Policies and Guidance on issues related to the Information Sharing Environment. Provides direct input into the development and deployment of the Common Operational Intelligence picture (Bigpipe) a System of Record. Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
