Description

The Fleet Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Logistics and Maintenance) will provide support to the Mission Support Directorate and Director of AMO Materiel Readiness with extensive experience in aviation acquisition and sustainment programs.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Must be familiar with the tasks associated with each position within the Materiel Readiness division and be able to fill in as the mission demands.
  • Conduct field assessments and program reviews in areas of aviation maintenance, inventory management, fleet readiness, contractor oversight, policy development and implementation.
  • Provide additional assistance to ensure effective and efficient aviation maintenance operations.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs; recommend policies and procedures.
  • Conducts a variety of organizational studies, investigations, and operational studies.
  • Recommend modifications to maintenance programs, policies, and procedures as appropriate.
  • Develop processes and procedures to implement and sustain (in conjunction with AMFAMS implementation) the Aircraft Configuration Control program.
  • Analyze National Aviation Maintenance Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) data to discover and report on causal factors impacting site and aircraft operational readiness and availability.
  • Prepare site-specific bi-monthly maintenance management briefs focused on high-visibility operational sites and high-interest aircraft models for executive level consumption.
  • Represent Director, Materiel Readiness during briefs to Executive Assistant Commissioner.
  • Execute duties as SharePoint Administrator for Materiel Readiness Division.
  • Develop SharePoint lists, libraries, automated workflows; troubleshoot SharePoint site as required.
  • Coordinate Materiel Readiness Division staff actions, under short time constraints, in production of executive level briefs, initiatives, or other higher headquarters requirements.
  • Research, analyze, prepare executive level communication as required.
  • Review, edit, format, and coordinate with operations staff on Minimum Equipment List creation and sustainment.
  • Update the Office of Information and Technology’s Technology Resource Model in response to field requirements as required.
  • Review, edit, and standardize correspondence destined for executive level decision or prime contractor tasking.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
