Seeking to hire a Part Time Front Desk Receptionist in the OPD Department

Job summary

  • Greets the Public/clients and visitors to the agency, operates telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel and provides clerical assistance, in person and virtually, by performing the duties below
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to management, staff and clients, which may include in-person or virtual administrative tasks such as the following but not limited to: typing, record keeping maintenance (i.e. program, client charts), filing data collection, billing preparation, insurance verifications, report preparation, consumer contact log tracking and reporting, and data entry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Serves as greeter and virtual/in-person check-in for client appointments
  • Answers telephone and provides routine information. Assists clients (over the phone and in person) by communicating in a positive, friendly and professional manner.
  • Verifies, reviews and updates demographic and insurance information in the agency electronic health record
  • General knowledge of all insurance benefit and coverage. Verifies insurance benefits and eligibility and updates benefits in the agency Electronic Health Record
  • Schedules appointment, conducts appointment confirmations/reminder calls to patients and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler and case conference organization.
  • Collects payment at the time of service and/or collects past balances from the client, virtually or in-person
  • Knowledge of all Patient Accounting systems. Evolv NX, MyAbility, Navinet, and NJMMIS is a plus
  • Receives, stamps, sorts, and routes mail
  • Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
