Share Email Opening Title BCA Production Laborer  Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Sleepy Eye East   Description POSITION PURPOSE: This position will assist the production team in the manufacturing of lawn fertilizer and ice melt products.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Labeling, sticker application and packaging preparation Handling packaging materials and finished product Drive forklift to move product around the production area and warehouses Maximizing warehouse space Load outbound trucks accurately and efficiently Operation of manual production line General housekeeping and maintenance of equipment, production areas and warehouses Follow all safety policies and procedures and make safety a priority in completing work tasks Perform other duties as assigned by production supervisor and other managerial staff   BASIC REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent Be an insurable driver Must be forklift certified and have the ability to operate forklifts, loaders and conveyors Must be able to work extended hours seasonally or as needed Be self motivated in completing work tasks and have the willingness to assist teammates in their work to gain efficiencies and meet production deadlines Must attend all required safety and educational training Be energetic, detail oriented, able to adhere to deadlines in a timely manner   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Ability to climb ladders, rail cars, stairs, and bins May also be required to work in confined spaces Must be able to work in an environment with dust and raw materials used in production of fertilizer and ice melt products Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position   Position Requirements   About the Organization Central Region Cooperative is a member owned and focused cooperative with roots beginning in several local organizations that, like other cooperatives, found ways to collaborate merging together over the years.
