Share Email Opening Title Project Controls/Risk Manager  Location District of Columbia   Description Position Roles and Responsibilities Manage the assigned elements of a complex project or group/area of construction projects to ensure contractor’s compliance with the plans, specs, and other contract documents. Manage project controls personnel and review work deliverables; contract administration actions, and interface with client PM or COTR. Analyze and interpret plans, specifications, and contract provisions. Serve in Lead Project Controls role on select projects involving complex scheduling or cost estimating work elements. Provide consultations on risk and associated management strategies to mitigate risk impact on projects. Develop or review project controls reports, identify, resolve and make recommendations on schedule and cost issues. Lead PC efforts in all project phases – planning, design, construction, post-construction. Provide lead technical role in BD/Marketing/Proposal efforts for PC pursuits. Manage financial performance on assigned projects.   Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrate extensive knowledge in construction methods, procedures, practices, plans, specifications, and contracts related to assigned job(s). Understand applicable technical and construction standards and manuals. Extensive knowledge of CPM scheduling and cost estimating processes, practices and work products and associated industry software. Be able to perform constructability, cost estimate and schedule reviews and analysis; interpret plans, specifications, and technical reports. Prepare technical, financial, administrative and project correspondence. Prepare and present project reports and other topics to clients. Perform staff, cost and time management tasks and be well organized. Strong communications (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.   Achievement Metrics (KPIs) Achieve billable utilization thru quality work. Receive positive feedback from client on job performance. Meeting project budget and schedule. Maintain registrations or certifications. Contribute to successful pursuits of proposals.   Position Requirements Fifteen (15) yrs (min) in Project Controls (PC) practice in the AEC industry, w/5yrs (min) in prior PC Manager role in related project assignments BS Degree in AEC disciplines (preferred) or may substitute for years’ exp.
