Share Email Opening Title Emergency Services Clinician - Licensed  Category Emergency Services   Description Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board has an exciting career opportunity for a professional seeking to join our Crisis Team, providing crisis services to individuals with mental health, substance use disorders and intellectual disabilities.   Responsibilities include providing short-term, solution-focused crisis counseling, providing intervention in crisis situations, pre-admission screening for psychiatric hospitalization, and assisting other community agencies in resolving crisis situations.   Will also represent the agency in civil commitment proceedings.  The chosen applicant will receive specialized training in relation to pre-admisison screening certification and related crisis training.  Individual will need to be available to work as needed, to include day, evening, night, weekend and holiday hours. This position involves contact with crisis situations at local hospital emergency rooms and sheriff departments.   Position Requirements In order to meet pre-admission screening guidelines established under Virginia law, individuals must meet these minimum requirements: Education (must meet one of these criteria): ·         Master's degree in Social Work ·         Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology ·         Clinical degree in counseling from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) ·         Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation from a CACREP accredited program AND Possess an associated profesional license (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
