Description

Resource Coordinator/Social Worker needed for temporary position in Delaware County.

The Resource Coordinator assists clients facing financial instability due to divorce or other difficult life transitions in identifying goals related to their financial stability, connecting them with relevant resources, and supporting their progress toward their goals. In addition, the Resource Coordinator will coordinate with the helpline, volunteers, and counselors as necessary to support client goals and support the Financial Stability Program Director in the ongoing development of the Financial Stability Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual resource coordination services for clients utilizing a coaching model with strengths-based social work practices with an understanding of 1) the impact of trauma on the brain and how to leverage neuroplasticity, and 2) the impact of systemic barriers including those related to racism, sexism, and classism.
  • Ensures accurate client record and outcomes tracking through electronic databases and written case notes.
  • Maintain all ethical and legal responsibilities of a professional social worker, including confidentiality, and aligned with the NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Participate in weekly case consultation in pursuit of providing the most relevant resources for clients.
  • Coordinate with volunteer financial coaches, volunteer career mentors, and pro bono career coaches providing services to clients.
  • Assist FSP Program Director in the ongoing development of the agency's Financial Stability Services.
 
Position Requirements

BSW and three years of experience providing case management in a social service or related organization preferred. Experience with coaching models, strengths-based social work practices, the impact of trauma on clients’ efforts to obtain financial stability, and the impact of systemic barriers to financial well-being. Commitment to dismantling racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression that serve as barriers for our clients. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing needs and circumstances. Must be fully COVID vaccinated.
