Position Summary: The Sr. Financial Analyst provides heavy support to the finance and accounting departments and business partnering with the Company’s management team, with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling of company information in compliance with established policies; provides instructions, support to other personnel; and analyzing expenditures against budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile Monthly Actual vs. Budget and Actual vs. Flash comparisons, distribute to branches and perform analysis of results as needed
  • Compile revenue by customer by branch analysis monthly, YTD and YOY
  • Review and analyze job cost and revenue reports.
  • Provide variance commentary on monthly basis, and highlight trends and changes in the business for management reporting
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast and budget models
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Accounting and the business, to ensure General Ledger reporting is accurate
  • Ensure data accuracy and reconciliation to financial systems.
  • Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field
  • Performs additional AD HOC analysis / duties as needed
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, Viewpoint and financial software applications
  • Proven knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting and scenario planning
  • Strong analytical skills, organization, and curiosity to develop new methods and processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with all levels of the organization
  • BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in Finance related field
