Warehouse Manager 

About the Organization Allied Oil & Supply, Inc. is a family owned business head-quartered in Omaha, NE. Allied Oil is a lubricant distribution business which sells to the passenger car, truck, and manufacturing segments. The company's six branches sell and distribute premium branded product such as: Shell, Petro-Canada, Chevron, Valvoline, Premium Blue, CAT, Bio Blend, & Allied private label. The company has locations in Omaha, NE, Sioux Falls, SD, Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, Joplin, MO, and Wichita, KS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage all aspects of daily warehouse activities and personnel.
  • Must be a hands-on supervisor with a high customer service focus and a strong ability to deal with external and internal customers.
  • Provide strong leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices.
  • Lead monthly safety meetings to promote and drive a strong safety focused atmosphere and working environment
  • Train, cross-train, coach and mentor employees.
  • Assist in the routing and scheduling of drivers and trucks to assure timely deliveries
  • Effectively manage the inventory to insure order fulfillment, minimize backorders and promote inventory turns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment.
  • Adhere to DOT, OHSA, local, state and federal regulations.
  • Execute company policies, procedures and programs.
  • Communicate and implement change as directed.
  • Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing bulk oil shipments.
  • Complies with all DPQA policies and procedures
  • Coordinates the unloading of oil from railcars into tankers
  • Conduct training for new warehouse employees
  • Perform physical inventory counts
  • Assists customers with orders as needed.
  • Other duties assigned when needed
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Warehouse Management Experience (min 5 years)
  • Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting (min 5yrs)
  • Delivery routing and scheduling experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of shipping, receiving and inventory processes
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
  • General Computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Good written, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective at time management and the ability to prioritize
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Quick learner with an ability to adapt
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED

Skills Required:

  • Excellent organization and record keeping skills
  • Good negotiating skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
  • Well-versed with traditional as well as advanced methods used in inventory control
  • Proficient in using computer, fax machines, printers, and Xerox machines, etc.
  • Ability to manage materials flow and proper handling, including but not limited to proper material handling, safe work methods, continuous improvement, quality management and issue resolution, etc.
