Job Summary: We are seeking a Training Specialist that will be responsible for researching, designing, creating, and sustaining innovative learning and development initiatives for LandSouth team members. A main area of focus will be curriculum creation and proactive collaboration with subject matter experts to conduct organizational needs assessments for both office and field employees. The Training Specialist will work with managers throughout the company to determine the learner audience, learning objectives, and delivery platform for comprehensive learning solutions to enhance employee performance. This individual will work out of our Jacksonville, FL headquarters and travel to the project sites throughout the Southeast. This role reports directly to the CFO.  Responsibilities: Research, design, develop, and deliver complete learning solutions (to include curriculum, instructor-led sessions, virtual instructor-led sessions, e-learning courses, and training/learning resources) using mediums that match both subject matters and learning objectives while applying appropriate learning principles and design techniques. Evaluate training effectiveness based on feedback and quantifiable data to enhance solution design and delivery. Recommend appropriate Learning and Development activities based on communicated needs, observations, and research through reports and other measures. Assist with the creation, upload, and management of content in the online learning management system (LMS). Track employee progress in LandSouth University and evaluate the data to provide recommendations on how to improve the system and course material selection. Assess employee accuracy, application, and consistency of demonstrated skills and recommend solutions for learning deficiencies. Evaluate learned skills and techniques used at construction sites and report the results to the Management team. Travel up to 35% and execute any job duties as required to assist employee learning for improved operational performance.   Position Requirements Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree related to adult learning, organizational development, or a similar field or the equivalent combination of experience and education. Minimum of three years of Adult Education, Staff Development, Corporate Training, or Instructional Design experience. Experience creating training programs (i.e. goals, objectives, best practices), organizing training content, establishing evaluations systems that measure training effectiveness, and facilitating executive/supervisory team discussions related to learning programs and protocols. Experience delivering/presenting training content in various formats and using a Learning Management System for the creation and delivery of training content. Training and/or Curriculum and Instructional Design certifications preferred. Construction-industry operations/training experience preferred. Must be able to work out of our headquarters office in Jacksonville, FL and travel up to 35% to our projects. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to pass a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.
