The Sr. Quality Engineer will ensure that the organization provides quality products and services as well as assuring continuous improvement. Communicates quality requirements to Plant Staff.
The Quality Engineering position will ensure that the organization has processes and procedures that produce quality products and services that meet our customers’ expectations as well as assuring continuous improvement. This position will work cross functionally to continually resolve issues that arise with product and process quality. This position will be a communication point for the organization both internally and externally, it will keep all functional areas advised of issues and will communicate to the supplier and customer as required.
Develop Control Plans, Flow Charts and FMEA’s. Manage various Quality and Manufacturing Projects including development of inspection systems and setting manufacturing systems.
Perform incoming raw material inspections, in process inspections, dock audits, analysis of returned products.
Perform audits of finished products.
Develop and/or update procedures for warranty and service areas.
Prepares periodic and special reports concerning departmental activities, problem solving activities, quality system activities, schedules, and returned and warranty items using a Six Sigma approach and tools such as Mini-Tab
Ensures that their areas of responsibility are following the IATF standard and any customer specified audit systems that may be required.

Education and Experience
Example: Bachelor’s degree required; 6-8 years of related experience and/or training required.
Four-year college or university program certificate; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six Sigma – Green Belt - Black Belt is preferred
Lean manufacturing experience
Example: CDL is required.
Certified Quality Engineering or Quality Management through ASQC.
Valid driver’s license and clear DMV record
Example: Skilled in Microsoft Office, knowledge of database software, order processing systems, manufacturing software, spreadsheets, quality, and word processing.
Knowledge of database software, internet software, customer-based portals, Skilled in general PC operation/navigation and application-specific experience including Mintab, SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 applications (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
