About the Organization Faith Comes By Hearing is an Audio Bible ministry based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our vision is to get God's Word to every person, and we do this by recording Audio Bibles in every language and freely sharing them using the latest technology. We currently offer recordings in more than 1500 languages spoken by nearly 6 billion people around the world. The purposes for which Faith Comes By Hearing is organized are wholly religious and include the following: To proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord in all that we do. The Corporation's Statement of Faith is as follows: Trusting in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we believe in: 1. The Bible as the inspired Word of God; 2. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son; 3. The vicarious death of Jesus Christ for our sins, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return; 4. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.

The Corporate Receptionist serves as both in-person and phone representative, providing superior service to each person who visits or calls Faith Comes By Hearing, as well as serving entire staff and acting as an ambassador for the ministry for a wide variety of communications.


  • Serves as first point of contact for everyone entering building, providing consistent and superior service to customers, donors, guests, ministry partners, pastors, vendors, and all other inquiries, as well as all employees.
  • Answers incoming calls on switchboard (4 lines), handling a wide variety of calls appropriately by responding to needs such as: explaining all ministry programs and products; explaining and offering opportunities to provide funding or otherwise engage with the ministry; receiving testimonies; listening and praying; providing replacement devices; resolving problems with diplomacy, tact, and grace; taking messages for any employee, and especially Development representatives.
  • Performs coverage of 800 call line as needed (cross trained as Customer/Donor Services Representative).
  • Serves as primary contact for all donation inquiries from non-donors, including all responses from FCBH “lead” solicitations, as well as John Ankerberg viewers/donors who contact FCBH.
  • Serves as extension of John Ankerberg’s customer service team, providing donation info/messaging consistent with John Ankerberg Show programs and navigating program price differences.
  • Develops relationships with FCBH donors who desire to speak specifically to them.
  • Schedules and coordinates ministry tours.

  • Assists callers in navigating websites and understanding/accessing resources available, including Bible Brain (API), Global Bible Apps, Gospel Films, SD cards, MP3 downloads.
  • Demonstrates Scripture audio devices and apps (Proclaimers, BibleSticks,, etc.).
  • Enters product orders; Receives payments and donations; completes daily batch for Accounting.
  • Maintains cash drawer for all store transactions and assists employees with personal check cashing, change, postage stamp purchases, etc.
  • Maintains local product inventories, as well as general appearance of local area.
  • Maintains inventory of all hospitality supplies and equipment for all conference rooms, including ordering and stocking of drinks/condiments/plastic and paper goods, as well as purchases of most non-food items connected with ministry hospitality. 
  • Updates customer/donor records in electronic data base and adds appropriate notes from conversation to assist others handling future correspondence.
  • Corresponds with customers, donors, and guests as needed via email, mail, or phone.
  • Enters and credits returns on customer accounts.
  • Informs donors of current giving opportunities; keeps current on all appeals and initiatives.
  • Creates daily welcome screen as well as name tags for guests.
  • Monitors parking lot for security via screen at desk.
  • Performs general administrative duties as requested by multiple staff and management.


Position Requirements


  • 3 years minimum experience in reception/customer service
  • Proven superior people skills
  • Proven ability to multitask (handling people and multiple calls at same time)
  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations calmly and with grace
  • Consistently pleasant tone of voice and demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Netsuite, and/or similar software
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Servant’s heart and love for communicating with all types of people and assisting them with their needs


  • Customer service experience in ministry setting
  • Experience and/or knowledge in international cultures
