POSITION SUMMARY:  The Human Resources Manager at RealTruck will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the E-Commerce HR Lead on strategic initiatives. This role will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices and will lead efforts to continuously improve culture to make RealTruck an employer of choice in the local area. The Human Resources Manager will lead a team of HR professionals and be accountable for employee performance, development, and goal achievement.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead, coach, develop and counsel a team of Human Resources Professionals.
  • Provide counsel on matters of employee and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Partners with the Leadership Team in developing and implementing productivity, quality, and customer service initiatives across the organization.
  • Drives organizational effectiveness and change initiatives to ensure the organization has the right people, right structure, and right processes to drive short and long-term business success.
  • Develop and implement plans and programs to enhance employee engagement.
  • Provides performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Participate in and/or lead specific projects and other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree is required (i.e., Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field).
  • 5+ years of broad HR experience is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role is required.
  • High Competency in Microsoft Suite

Required Licenses

  • HRCI/SHRM certification preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing HR programs.
  • Broad knowledge of all HR disciplines with a demonstrated in-depth expertise in employee relations and talent management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers and co-workers at all levels.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and assess human capital needs and work collaboratively to develop and implement value-added solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive culture yielding positive business results.
  • Strong change management skills.
  • Technology/Ecommerce experience strongly preferred

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required; up to 10%.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position plans, staffs, evaluates, and directs the work of employees of a work unit. This role will have direct reports.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is subject to sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
