Administrative Assistant

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant’s primary duty is to complete work as assigned with the highest quality and in accordance with timeframes established. The administrative assistant is supervised by the Program Supervisor or designee.  Hours are 8:30 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provides administrative support to the employment program as assigned by the program supervisor.
  2. Complete job duties such as but not limited to: Answer phone, sort mail, run postage, greet visitors.
  3. Performs work tasks as assigned to make the business function effectively and efficiently.
  4. Assists with the cleaning and maintenance of the work space.
  5. Maintains a neat appearance with regard to appropriate dress and grooming.
  6. Keeps the Supervisor aware of work issues as needed.
  7. Interacts with customers, coworkers, supervisors, vendors, etc., in a positive and cheerful way.
  8. Attends periodic meetings, in-services and trainings as requested.
  9. Keeps the Program Supervisor informed on all issues of importance.
  10. Maintains regular attendance and punctuality, manages use of PTO time, and follows all policies and procedures regarding time off.
  11. Follows all ESUCP Policies and Procedures.
  12. Must demonstrate Easter Seals valued behaviors of Accountability, Commitment and Caring as appropriate to position.
  13. Completes required training within prescribed timeframes.
  14. Performs related duties as requested.


Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent appropriately accredited by the appropriate state department of education.
  • Must have a desire to work cooperatively with others.
  • Must be willing to learn and follow instructions.
  • Experience working in a professional office environment preferred.
