The Position:

The Operations Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting multiple customers and staff while creating, implementing, and monitoring efficient and effective operations processes and procedures to serve their needs. This position supports the Operations Supervisor in the day-to-day management, resolution of operational issues, and project oversight at the Santa Maria Valley Youth & Family Center, including the Family Resource Center on Enos St., and Little House by the Park in Guadalupe, as well as other Agency-wide initiatives and projects. This position is based out of FSA’s Santa Maria office, and the position hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sample Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Agency-wide

  1. Provide new hire IT Orientation and Safety Training
  2. Review Protocols specific to COVID-19 with new hires and confirm all protocols have been read by new hire in a timely manner
  3. Point of contact for supporting staff preparing and correcting expense reports; liaison with outside financial accounting provider for staff reimbursement process
  4. Maintain and keep current IT Inventory spreadsheet
  5. Serve on Safety Committee

On-Site in Santa Maria Office

  1. Work with IT partner to resolve local technical challenges regarding remote desktop connectivity
  2. Back-up for audio/visual equipment set-up when needed
  3. Conduct Quarterly Safety Inspection; Site lead for safety concerns/issues
  4. Assist front office staff to ensure business license renewal, annual inspections, and fire extinguisher certifications are current
  5. Building Maintenance and Facility Liaison
  6. Primary Front desk back up when needed for the Lincoln St. location
 
Position Requirements

Employment Standards:

  1. B.A./B.S. degree preferred. Associate’s and/or work experience strongly considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  3. Five years office work and knowledge of IT and Facilities experience preferred.
  4. Excellent analytical, computer, written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  5. Position requires professional attitude, good judgement, teamwork, leadership, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  6. Valid California Driver License, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation required for travel as needed countywide.

Classification, Hours and Pay Rate:

  • This position is full-time (40.0 hours/week), non-exempt, with benefits. Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts and 403(b) retirement plan. Generous vacation, holiday and sick leave also offered.
  • Pay is dependent on education and experience.
