Description

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Psychosocial Rehabilitation is responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the Supported Employment program are conducted in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with DMHAS Supported Employment Annex A and DVRS, where applicable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:          

  1. Monitor referrals and assigns every admitted consumer to a job coach.
  2. Provides direct supervision to Supported Employment staff and conducts formal and documented supervision on a monthly basis.
  3. Ensures comprehensive intake assessments, employment service plans, and progress notes are completed in accordance with DMHAS Supported Employment Annex A and Catholic Charities current policies.
  4. Completes and submits Quarterly Census Monitoring Reports for the Supported Employment Program that is complete, accurate, and timely.
  5. Completes and submits agency monthly reports which include tracking monthly employment and education outcomes in accordance with DMHAS Supported Employment Annex A.
  6. Conduct quarterly chart reviews with results documented on quarterly Logic Model/QI in accordance with DMHAS Supported Employment Annex A and Catholic Charities current policies.
  7. Organizes administering of consumer satisfaction and job placement surveys with results documented on quarterly Logic Model/QI in accordance with Catholic Charities current policies.
  8. Works with the Director of Psychosocial Rehabilitation to hire staff in the Supported Employment Program and ensures that the hired staff meets the criteria for the specific position as defined in DMHAS Supported Employment Annex A.
  9. Works in conjunction the Director of Psychosocial Rehabilitation to ensure that the Supported Employment Staff are thoroughly trained in the responsibilities of their job and have the resources to complete their job functions.
  10. Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations for the Supported Employment Staff in accordance with Catholic Charities current policies.
  11. Works in conjunction with Director of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services to appropriately facilitate any staff disciplinary action of the Supported Employment staff, ensuring that the process adheres to Catholic Charities current policies.
  12. Responsible for managing and approving the timesheets in NovaTime for the Supported Employment staff.
  13. Attend quarterly DMHAS and DVRS meetings with provider agencies.
  14. Reviews documentation submitted by Supported Employment Staff for DVRS consumers to ensure the documentation is complete and accurate; remit completed DVRS voucher with documentation to DVRS in accordance with the DVRS Supported Employment & Specialized Services Manual.
  15. Ensure job coaches are maintaining regular contact with DVRS vocational specialists.
  16. Coordinates marketing of the Supported Employment program.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:  Ability to interface with business community; Good Leadership, communication, and organizational skills; Basic computer knowledge; Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:  Provides supervision to the Supported Employment Staff.

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation counseling, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field from an accredited institution, possess one (1) year of relevant supervisory experience, and possess one (1) year of relevant experience as an employment specialist for people with serious mental illness/co-occurring disorders. 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:  Valid driver’s license is required.

MANDATED PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of the comprehensive core competency based training provided by the Supported Employment Institute and essential learning online training as deemed appropriate by Catholic Charities.
