Accounts Payable Analyst

The Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day processing of all payment cycle activities and provide efficient client service, including high volume payment runs.
  • Process vendor invoices including sorting/matching of incoming invoices to PO and receivers within ERP and workflow systems.
  • Complete/problem solve vendor account reconciliations from vendor statements.
  • Alignment and distribution of payments according to payment terms.
  • Follow Company Approval Matrix and ensure proper approvals.
  • Complete data entry of invoices.
  • Basic understanding of state tax and IRS regulations pertaining to A/P processes.
  • Provide analysis and maintenance on A/P issues.
  • Update and maintain vendor database.
  • Bank transfer, ACH, and wire payment set up.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
Position Requirements

Success Factors:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. (additional certifications and education preferred)
  • 2+ years of AP professional experience as an AP Clerk, AP Specialist or Accounting Specialist / Assistant is required, manufacturing environment exp preferred.
  • 10-key, data entry speed combined with accuracy.
  • Experience with AP workflow software preferred.
  • Must be action oriented, organized, and have professional customer service skills to communicate effectively (verbal or written) with all internal and external customers including management.
  • Must have experience with a higher level ERP system; e.g. Oracle, JD Edwards, Plex, NetSuite, SAP, etc. including technical understanding of larger ERP system functions.
  • Experience with Great Plains, Visual, Sage, and/or Master Tools softwares is preferred.
