Valley Community Services Board is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.   Open Date 8/9/2021   Close Date   Position ACT Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist (PACT)   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Shift -not applicable-   Req Number CLI-21-00038   Number of Openings 1   Number Filled 0   Description Valley CSB is seeking qualified candidates for the position of ACT Co-occurring Disorder Specialist within the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program.  The ACT Co-occurring Disorder Specialist will focus on stages of change, motivational interviewing techniques, relapse prevention, and substance use education.  This position will also provide clinical case management support, crisis stabilization and hospital diversion services to seriously mentally ill (SMI) and dually diagnosed ACT consumers in accordance with the ACT model of treatment.  The incumbent works closely with other staff using a team approach to enhance psychiatric stability, quality of life, access to available resources and appropriate use of medical services and inpatient care.  A positive attitude and the ability to work within a team environment are essential. The incumbent will be required to work a scheduled rotation of evenings, weekends, and holidays with limited on-call responsibilities. This position requires working with a population of adults who may be dually diagnosed with a chronic mental illness and substance use issues. Benefits Package include 9 paid holidays and generous paid time off package.  Valley CSB provides robust options for insurance, including competitive health insurance and participation in the Virginia Retirement System.   This position qualifies for for a sign on bonus up to $1500.00.   Position Requirements A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field and one year of direct clinical experience with dually diagnosed with a chronic mental illness and substance use issues population is required. QMHP-A Required.  Licensed eligible is also accepted.  Supervision is available for LPC and LCSW licensure hours if desired. Candidate must also have a valid Virginia driver's license in good standing and must meet Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) qualifications.
