About the Organization Established June 15, 1971, Valley Community Services Board is a publicly funded organization where citizens of Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta and Highland Counties can receive Behavioral Health, Substance Use and Developmental Services services. Valley Community Services Board serves as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder services for these localities.

Valley CSB is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to oversee daily operations of two Intermediate Care Facilities located in Waynesboro, Va. The applicant must be committed to ensuring the health, safety of residents and ensure compliance with licensing and reporting standards.  The applicant will be responsible for monitoring program activities including but not limited to budgets, shift scheduling, leadership team meetings and community integration of residents. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting preferred. Candidate characteristics including effective leadership skills, strong communication skills and positive teamwork abilities desired.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and at least three years supervisory experience required. This position requires a valid Virginia driver’s license in good standing. Qualified applicants must meet Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QIDP) credentials with a minimum of one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. 

Benefits Package include 9 paid holidays and generous paid time off package.  This position qualifies for a Sign-on bonus as well as a $700 monthly retention stipend.
