A Senior Analyst will be responsible for participating in Wakely’s strategic growth by learning our product lines and continuing education efforts through exams. In addition, the position will contribute to components of project management and client relations.

What will you do?

  • Assist with complex projects including formulary analysis data, completing actuarial calculations, provider pricing, reserving and assessing risk;
  • Assist with project tasks, deliverables and quality control;
  • Proactively identify and communicate issues affecting a project plan;
  • Draft reports documenting the methods, assumptions and results;
  • Provide quality control through peer review.
  • Participate in clients meetings to understand the project, gather data and information, and communicate the results;
  • Work with team to develop new business opportunities.
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Working towards an ASA accreditation, 4+ exams;
  • Strong working knowledge in Excel, SQL, SAS, Word and Power Point software
  • Minimum of 2 years of healthcare actuarial experience
  • Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Math or Statistics


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with Medicare, Commercial ACA, and/or Medicaid lines of business
  • External client interaction experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel, SQL, SAS, Word and Power Point software
  • Working knowledge of database/statistical analysis language (SQL/SAS)
