Description

Badger Mining Corporation is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to join their Team as an Industrial Sand Sales Associate.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to identify new industrial sand markets across North America, collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine new product viability, and lead the development of a solid client base for the new products. 

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Five years of proven sales experience
  • In depth knowledge of the industrial sand industry, or markets that utilize industrial sand like metal casting, glass making, water filtration, turf, fillers, etc.
  • Experience in new product development
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confident, articulate, and professional spoken and written communication skills with special emphasis on client-facing communications
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers and operations
  • Work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and high ethical standards
  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and changing external environments
  • Superior quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Strong desire to overachieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Excellent planning, forecasting, and budgeting skills
  • Solid prospecting, negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to travel, domestic and international, for periods of time

 

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Conduct market analysis and gather market intelligence within the industrial sand industry to identify new product lines.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and new products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform ROIs on breaking through the barriers to entry in the new product lines.
  • Identify strategic and key business opportunities within the market and ensure these opportunities are converted into new business activity
  • Identify opportunities to “add value” and contribute to the success of the customers’ businesses.
  • Proactively collaborate with customers and internal operations to achieve desired product outcomes.
  • Develops last mile logistical solutions with the Supply Chain Team to ensure efficient and cost effective product delivery. 
  • Effectively maintain a pipeline of further business activity from existing customers and generate new business customers.
  • Prepare and achieve sales forecasts, targets and budgets to achieve revenue and profitability.
  • Be actively involved with various industry groups with the aim of monitoring industry development and providing information to prospects and existing customers on industry and market trends.
 
Physical Abilities Must pass toxicity test  
Travel Up to 75%
