Position Java/.Net Developer  
Description

Alter is seeking a Java/.Net developer who is looking for a career in a fast paced, team-oriented environment where the goal is to develop business solutions using a variety of frameworks and enterprise level programming principles under the guidance of our senior developers.

As a developer you would be responsible for development and implementation of design specifications provided by a senior software engineer. You would be a member of an agile team, learning to estimate and complete assigned software development tasks.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learning the software development tools and languages required to contribute to the project
  • Completing implementation of assigned development tasks
  • Completing unit test coverage of assigned tasks
  • Successfully merging developed code into the version-controlled code base

OUR EXPECTATIONS

  • Translate application requirements, use cases and web-page concept designs into functional, dynamic web applications.
  • Provide estimates of level of work effort and time for completion.
  • Develop and unit test complex application web components.
  • Ability to explain technical details to non-technical customers.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience/Familiarity with Angular and/or REACT is highly desired.
  • Experience/Familiarity with CSS, HTML5 and Material Web Components is a plus.
  • Experience/Familiarity with NodeJS and Bootstrap is a plus.
  • Experience/Familiarity with principles of design patterns & anti-patterns.
  • Experience/Familiarity with Git or similar version control architectures.
  • Experience/Familiarity with SQL.

Position Requirements

REQUIRMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or comparable field of study.
  • 2-5 years of Java/.Net Programming experience (Education curriculum included)
  • 2-5 years of experience with Eclipse IDE, IntelliJ, Spring & Hibernate.
  • SharePoint development experience a plus
  • Git, Kubernetes, Jenkins and TDD a plus.
