The Configuration Management Specialist will provide installation, migration, and software support. This will include technical upgrades of IBM Rationale configuration management suite and configuration of products such as ClearQuest, ClearCase, and ReqPro.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited to:

  • Assist team in providing operation and application support services for production and non-production batch-job scheduling including installing software, mitigating vulnerabilities, resolving issues, addressing tickets, and managing batch job scheduling request.
  • Assist team in supporting batch job scheduling primarily utilizing BMC Control- M Software, in addition to performing job scheduling when required for application and database backups.
  • Provide job scheduling and coordination support for functional and development teams including the optimization of batch stream and issue resolution for job failures.
  • Monitor and analyze job schedules and consult with appropriate functional, application development, and technical staffs as needed to support job schedule changes or updates.
  • Responsible for providing 24x7 operations support including participation on conference calls and will be required to support all EBS application maintenance windows to facilitate the startup and shutdown of batch streams required to support application shutdown.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Five (5) years’ Configuration Management experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ Windows/Unix experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ Windows/Unix Application Support experience.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with the ITIL Framework.
  • Must have knowledge and experience working with:
    • Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5000.01, The Defense Acquisition System, Enclosure 1.1.29, November 20, 2007.
    • Interim DoD Instruction 5000.02, Operation of the Defense Acquisition System, Enclosure 12, November 25, 2013 Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction 6212.01E, Interoperability and Supportability of Information Technology and National Security, Enclosure B-1, December 15, 2008.
    • DODI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework for DOD Information Technology (RMF), March 12, 2014.
    • Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), February 2, 2009.
    • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations, April 30, 2013.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ Windows/Red Hat/Suse Administration experience desired, but not required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ Web Server (IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic) experience desired, but not required.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • ITIL V3 – IT Infrastructure Library Version 3
  • Certificate in Configuration Management
    • CMII – Configuration Management II OR
    • PMP – Project Management Professional OR
    • Equivalent.

 

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must possess the ability to evaluate state-of-the-art computer hardware and software and its application to support specific requirements and to interface with other equipment and systems.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot bottlenecks and propose recommendations for their elimination and make recommendations for system improvements that will result in optimization of development and/or maintenance efforts.

 

Security Clearance:

  • Secret security clearance OR DLA IT-II required.

 

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
