Job Title: Green Waste Technician and Cultivation Driver

Department: Transportation

Location: Quincy, FL

Salary: 18.00/hr

Role Summary:

 

The Driver will distribute products and work materials promptly to our sites and operation partners. As well as be responsible for assisting in environment reintegration of organic matter using industrial farm equipment. They will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Driver will transport product between Trulieve facilities and various locations throughout the state. The Driver will be expected to work various hours with possibility of irregular shifts and days.

  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Operation of industrial farm equipment for soil reintegration along with forklift and front-end loader.

  • Emptying and cleaning of transport containers for reuse.

  • Completion of batch manifest.

  • Work with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.

  • Responsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning of the machinery..

  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment.

  • Load and unload vehicles at the destination; complete transportation manifests and ensure that all appropriate signatures are obtained as per DOH regulations.

  • Follow routes and time schedule.

  • Complete logs and reports.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Managing employee relations between sites..

  • Emptying and cleaning of transport containers for reuse..

  • Become proficient in the setup, adjustment, and operations of all equipment in the facilities.

  • Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems detected.

  • Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.

  • Attention to detail to ensure the machine is properly cared for and the environment is held to operational safety standards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a Driver, with at least 5 years’ experience in commercial delivery.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license along with a good driving record (no violations) record.

  • CDL license strongly preferred.

  • Must have complete open availability.

  • Prior experience operating commercial box trucks and refrigeration systems.

  • Ability to drive in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.

  • Possess the ability to professionally and respectfully engage with personnel, visitors, government agencies and the general public.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • High school diploma.

  • Previous machine experience preferred but not required as an equipment operator in an industrial environment or equivalent setting.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Able to work in a team setting.

Strong time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are meeting consistently and high quality control.

 

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

  • Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.

  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.

  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).

  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.

  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers (Moderate noise).

  • Able to handle heavy loads and weight displacements.

  • Must be able to move 600 lbs plus bins on wheels.

 

 

Education/Training:

High school diploma or equivalent

Licenses/Certificates:

Have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License, CDL Strongly preferred

Work Schedule:

40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
