A day in the life…

  • Documents, maintains, and communicates client network and network security requirements and architecture.
  • Understanding of security within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) / DevOps methodology

  • Develops forward thinking models that support IT strategy and architecture.
  • Develops, recommends, and supports a migration strategy to move from the current technical platforms to the future technical architecture.
  • Consults in the design or selection of new systems and technical infrastructure projects.
  • Consults on technology topics to third party companies doing business with AdvizeX.
  • Technical lead for team as it pertains to network and network security.
  • Leads and participates in departmental projects, ensuring that projects are clearly defined, systematically executed, fully documented, and business results oriented.
  • Adherence to Project Management processes and standards within AdvizeX are required.
  • Architect, design, and implement traditional, software defined, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Perform configuration migrations using OEM native tools and self-maintained scripts.
  • Provide advanced technical services during the post-sales cycle.
  • Share information and best practices with other team members.
  • Provide support and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
  • Produce documentation and provide detailed knowledge transfer to customers on AdvizeX supported solutions.
  • Perform technical hands-on integration of various products mentioned below.

 
Position Requirements

What we are looking for…

Required (Rolta AdvizeX OEM Partners)

  • 5+ years experience architecting, designing and deploying wired and wireless networks and network security solutions, ideally with a special emphasis (hardware and software) on as many as possible of the following vendors:
    • Palo Alto
    • Aruba
    • Fortinet
    • Checkpoint
  • Experience with Unified Threat Management solutions including Firewalls, VPN, IDS, IPS, URL Filtering, Anti-Virus, etc… using traditional physical appliance-based solutions as well as virtual machine and cloud-based solutions.
  • Ability to plan, install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and support network switches and routers.
  • 5+ years of experience in the technologies, implementation, and processes across the following security domains:
    • Encryption: key management, encryption technologies, cloud;
    • Access: Multi factor authentication, data access governance
    • Endpoint: Malware controls, vulnerability management;
    • Application and Systems Development Security
    • Computer Operations Security
    • Security Monitoring (e.g. SIEM)

  • Experience performing wireless 802.11n/a/b/g/ac surveys and assessments using tools such as AirMagnet or similar.
  • Experience in current to future state Data Center design and planning.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments.
  • Ability to professionally interact with clients and contractors.
  • Experience producing business relevant presentations and technical oriented writing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in systems engineering with an emphasis on network and/or IT security.

  • Experience performing LAN / WAN bandwidth analysis and sizing.
  • Experience deploying VMware NSX.
