The company has continually grown to a point where we currently serve more than 600 individuals, and employ more than 1000 people across the state. Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12.   Description The Facility Nurse is responsible for a variety of duties related to the medical care of adult individuals living in Skill Creations, Inc. facilities, who have physical and/or intellectual disabilities and /or medical care needs. The Facility Nurse works closely with the medical provider/physician, RN Team Leader, facility Director and QP to assure individuals’ medical needs are met. The Facility Nurse prepares, administers and documents individuals’ medications and/or treatments as prescribed. Other duties include obtaining lab specimens and blood work, documenting height/weight and seizure records and enter nursing notes in charts as needed. The Facility Nurse will assist the primary medical provider/physician during visits to the facility. Individuals are transported and/or accompanied to local or out of town medical appointments, including dental and psychiatric by the Facility Nurse. This Position is Monday-Friday, 8a-5p, with **Competitive salary based on education and experience.   Position Requirements Current licensure by the N.C. Board of Nursing. Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule is expected. Includes working during inclement weather and some holidays. A valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the agency’s insurability standards is essential. Course work will be required in CPR/First Aid and behavior management. Basic computer skills are needed for e-mail, electronic training modules and electronic medical records.
