The Project Manager is responsible for the management of the organization's project life cycle(s) through partnership with key stakeholders, business lines, and team members. This individual will serve as the main point of contact for assigned projects and for all required parties including senior management, business lines, team members, delivery teams, and third-party vendors. As Project Manager, they will track key project milestones and are responsible for status communication to all involved parties. Further, aligning their work with business and stakeholder requirements, the Project Manager will ensure that projects are managed in terms of scope, time, cost, and quality and will look to continually update the Bank's project management best practices, documentation, and general project program management materials as appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engages with team at project inception to define project scope, resource requirements, projected timelines, and other needs that may need to be considered
  • Schedules and facilitates the project kickoff for all assigned projects
  • Maintains responsibility for all aspects of the project life cycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, tracking, and delivery
  • Develops detailed project plans, identifies expected milestones and outcomes, establishes timelines, manages project budget, and leads project team(s) for assigned projects
  • Prepares and manages project status reports and transparently report status to management, key stakeholders, team members, and third-party vendors
  • Oversees the ongoing review of project(s) status including risk identification and working with team members to drive risk remediation
  • Implements project management practices, processes, methodologies, and metrics
  • Drives action to complete projects on time, on budget, and within specific quality standards
  • Facilitates appropriate project governance and status meetings with project stakeholders and team members
  • Analyzes new project requests for feasibility, cost, and impact
  • Coordinates the work activities of multiple functions to ensure satisfying project delivery
  • Assists with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants and/or third-party vendors
  • Performs complex tasks and has some latitude for determining appropriate processes to follow
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees as members of assigned project team
  • Maintains the ability to be agile and to adjust resources, timelines and project plans as needed
  • Performs with minimal supervision

Job Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience managing complex projects, including some prior management experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in banking, financial services or software is preferred

Software Skills

  • Microsoft Project
  • Proficient in MS Suite of products

Licenses and Certification

  • PMP Certification is preferred

Travel

  • Travel may be required based on business and project needs
