This position will be required to report to our Cheyenne WY World Headquarters building.

The Information Technology Security Manager ensures that the risk to the organization's information posed by a variety of cyber threats (cyber-attacks; theft or corruption from within; etc.) is minimized. The IT Security Manager ensures that when cyber-attacks occur or data are stolen or compromised, these incidents are dealt with promptly and effectively and the chance of that incident recurring is minimized. This position also focuses on:

  • Research the latest information technology security trends. Help to design, implement, and maintain the organization's cyber-security plan. Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization. Research the latest information technology security trends. Direct the installation and use of security tools (e.g., firewalls, data encryption), to protect sensitive information. Recommend security enhancements to IT Management.
  • Help computer technicians, end users when they need to install or learn about new security products and/or procedures. Monitor their organization's networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.   • Provide oversight and management to the IT Security team to deliver IT services. Works closely with all other IT management personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies. Manages the release process for security applications which includes effective department wide and end user communication. Acts as a focal point for communicating related system problems within the department and collaborates with other teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates. Negotiates resolution of conflicting requirements across departments.
  • Manages delivery and SLAs by guiding incident resolution, problem management, maintenance, and enhancement tickets raised by the end users for assigned applications. Develops relevant metrics, measures, and publishes the performance of the services provided and enables continuous improvement activities in collaboration with peer groups. Ensure department adheres to policies and procedures that are compliant with industry and regulatory policies. Serves as a security consultant to other IT management staff and operations community as needed. Provides ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of security applications, including 24/7 on call coverage as required. D Sets and measures performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all members of the team. Hires and evaluates the performance of direct reports and provides ongoing coaching and staff development. Addresses individual staff performance problems as needed.
  • Ensure that IT security audits are conducted periodically or as needed (e.g., when a security breach occurs).
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Compensation: $62,958 - $94,437

 
Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

OTHER SKILLS: Candidates with certification in information security (CISSP, CSSLP, CCFP, CISM, etc.) or comparable work experience will be given preference. Risk analysis/assessment experience a plus. Strong knowledge of Azure and Office 365 Administration. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 security tools and processes. Identity and Access; Platform Protection; Security Operations; Secure Data and Applications; Working knowledge of IT Governance and Compliance practices. Strong knowledge of project management process and systems, AGILE/SCRUM/ITIUITSM. Three years of experience in planning and managing IT programs including budgeting, resource management, and delivery development.

Compensation $62,958 - $94,437
