Share Email Opening Title Residential Youth Counselor - Chester - 3pm to 11pm  Category Residential   Description Bonnie Brae, a nationally recognized non-for profit specializing in services for at-risk youth is expanding its continuum of care to include Crisis Stabilization Services and we have unique career opportunities for Residential Youth Counselors. The Residential Youth Counselors will help launch this new initiative and serve as a key member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. This co-ed program will be located in Chester, New Jersey and will serve up to five youth, ages 13 to 18 years old, with behavioral/emotional challenges due to complex trauma who need emergency short term out of home placement. The Residential Youth Counselor provides supervision, counseling and behavioral support of youth in residential treatment. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team consisting of psychiatric, clinical, medical and education professionals. This role assists in the development of individual treatment plans which guide the Residential Youth Counselor's interactions with each resident. Responsibilities include leading resident group meetings, coordinating recreation activities and overseeing activities of daily living. Available Shift is 3 PM - 11 PM, including weekends. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree (all majors welcome) OR High School Diploma with 3 years' experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health or similar setting. Recreation experience a plus. Salary and Benefits: Average first year salary for a Residential Youth Counselor is $39,000.00/year to $49,000.00/year, with a starting hourly rate of $17.00/hour to $17.50/hour.
