IT Technical Support Analyst

Summary of Position & Responsibilities

  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (printers, scanners etc.) .
  • Troubleshoot & resolve computer, software and peripheral device problems reported by users; including performing timely workstation hardware/software repairs & upgrades as required
  • Install and configure appropriate software according to specifications .
  • Maintain local network inventory.
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems .
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment .
  • Assist with organizing and scheduling upgrades & maintenance without deterring others from completing their work include security updates, antivirus and other necessary tools.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) .
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.
  • Provide helpdesk support.
  • Provide and maintain network access to uses, including onboarding & off boarding.
  • Maintain network backups.
  • Submits and keeps track of vendor invoices.
  • Availability after hours and weekends.
  • Supports Security Team Committee by the following, but not limited to, routinely providing staff education and communications around the Agency’s Security Standards.
  • Maintains network & system security, ensuring latest security patches are installed
  • Assists staff with technical support requests
  • Ensures cases are logged, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provides technical advice/support to customers and other departments within the agency.
  • Serves as the primary contact for staff until cases are closed.
  • Obtains additional internal resources if needed as well as providing prompt updates to staff.
  • Team oriented with the ability to work independently.???????

 

Education/Experience:

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree from an accredited college or university in Computers, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology

  • Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance
