At Blue, we discover pathways to realize your possibilities. The VP of Information technology oversees the overall daily operations of the Information Technology department. This includes data center operations, networks, servers/PCs, databases, telephony system, information security, Enterprise software solutions, business continuity planning, and IT execution for the organization. Responsibilities will also include identifying opportunities by evaluating the enterprise infrastructure portfolio and proposing consolidation of systems with redundant capabilities or migrating to more efficient technologies. This position will also focus on:

  • Oversees staff of the IT Operations, including hiring, scheduling, disciplining training/development and overall employee performance with an emphasis on service.
  • Communicates with all levels of management to determine IT requirements to establish boundaries and priorities of new projects. Research and recommend strategies that support the strategic business plan and oversee various department managers to implement tactical plans to support the strategic direction.
  • Responsible for all strategic enterprise software implementations including: collaboration frameworks, office automation and effciency frameworks, enterprise resource planning, enterprise content management (ECM), etc. Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing applications as deemed appropriate.
  • Establish, adhere to, and enforce system security policy and standards; develop, maintain and update appropriate policies and procedures. Maintain an awareness of all laws, regulations, developments and trends that may affect the Credit Union's Information Systems.
  • Administer networks, phone and telecommunications, local and wide-area, including related security environment and controls. Develop and report on infrastructure metrics.
  • Manage vendor relations and build strategic alliance with core infrastructure vendors.
  • Research and recommend emerging industry technologies to maximize organizational technological efficiencies via IT Technology Roadmap.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Compensation: $92,460 - $154,101

 
Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE: The Vice President of Information Technology position requires a proven track record of leadership in technology management, including excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Must also have 5 to 10 years of increasing responsibility in technology management.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must work effectively with the firm's senior IT team to help plan and coordinate both short and long-term systems strategy and implementation. Also acts as a liaison between nontechnical business units and IT.

OTHER SKILLS: Extensive understanding of IT infrastructure technologies including OS, Data Storage, Servers, Networks, Telephony, Web, Cloud, Technical Architecture and Performance Optimization techniques planning and tactical implementation are important attributes as well.
